Editorial Policy

Eldrivo publishes calculators and explanatory EV content intended to help users estimate charging costs and compare scenarios. This page explains how that content is produced.

What we optimize for

  • Useful calculations users can run with their own inputs.
  • Clear assumptions and limitations for every estimate.
  • Consistent comparisons across EV models and electricity rate pages.
  • Readable explanations that answer common follow-up questions.

How pages are created

Many pages are generated from templates and structured datasets. This is intentional so users can compare pages with the same formulas and assumptions. Template generation does not replace quality review; it is the delivery mechanism for repeatable calculations.

We review formulas, assumptions, page templates, and sampled outputs when shipping content updates. When a template is improved, the quality improvement applies across the affected pages.

AI and automation use

Eldrivo may use automation and programmatic generation to draft page structures, examples, and explanatory sections. We do not treat generated text as authoritative on its own.

Calculation logic and assumptions are deterministic and documented in our methodology page. If a generated statement conflicts with the calculator output or known specifications, the calculator output and corrected data take priority.

Commercial independence and disclosures

Eldrivo is a free site and may display ads. Advertising does not change calculator formulas, data assumptions, or page rankings of models and rate examples.

We aim to make sponsored and non-sponsored elements clearly distinguishable from editorial content and calculator results.

Corrections and updates

  • Formula bugs are fixed at the calculator/template level first.
  • Data issues (vehicle specs, charging rates, assumptions) are corrected in source data.
  • Material changes should be reflected in page output on the next build/deploy.
  • Key informational pages display a reviewed date to improve transparency.
